Tara House Conference Centre is situated  in one of  the older houses in the Uplands district in Swansea.The Uplands is  a well established commercial area of the city within a mile of the city centre.  It is also the birthplace of  the well known poet Dylan Thomas.

Swansea Bay  and the Marina are within fifteen to twenty minutes walk and  beaches on the beautiful Gower Peninsular are within fifteen minutes drive.  
Tara House  has been refurbished to provide rooms that are elegant and comfortable which  can be used for meetings, conferences, interviews, seminars, workshops or exhibitions, as well as family celebrations.

                     The house is located on the main road and is easily accessible by public
                      transport. There are a number of hotels and guesthouses within a few minutes                        walk from Tara House and it therefore provides the opportunity for day,                                   evening, and week-end  events.

Tara House was opened in 2004 with an ethos to provide high quality complimentary health provision combined with a friendly and well organised venue for courses, conferences, education and training.

The development of Tara House was the result of the vision of Bridget Spowart, whose background in nursing and Health Visiting has resulted in experienced and well qualified practitioners working from the premises.

In addition, her previous post in charge of the Welsh Office funded “Healthy Hearts Project” made her ideally suited to develop the training and conference facilities, which have been praised by many voluntary and private sector organisations.  The story continues.......
